New Delhi: A big claim has been made in a report of the United Nations Security Council regarding the deadly explosion that took place near the Red Fort in Delhi in November 2025. According to the report, a group of Al-Qaeda affiliated organization Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) was behind this attack. 11 people died in this blast.
AQIS mentioned in UN report
The United Nations monitoring team has said in its report that AQIS is now carrying out its activities through small and separate cells. The organization has also reportedly developed networks related to logistics and funding.
According to the report, the attack that took place near the Red Fort in Delhi in November 2025 was initially found to be linked to AQIS. The UN has also expressed apprehension that the organization may try to expand its activities in South Asia.
