Uorfi Javed is known for turning heads, but she says the past year has brought her a very different kind of attention, rejection. In a candid Instagram video shared on Sunday, August 23, the actor and fashion personality spoke about several projects that did not work out, including her attempt to join Bigg Boss 20. Uorfi said she had been keen to enter a reality show and decided to approach the makers of Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss after another opportunity fell through.
“I thought I will do Bigg Boss. Because I wanted to do a reality show,” she said, adding that she met the show’s makers but was ultimately rejected.
Uorfi Javed On Bigg Boss 20 Rejection
Uorfi’s revelation comes as speculation around the Bigg Boss 20 lineup continues to dominate entertainment headlines. While several celebrities have been linked to the show, Uorfi has now made it clear that she will not be part of the upcoming season. She said she had decided to speak about her failures because social media often creates the impression that everyone is constantly succeeding.
“Whenever I open my Instagram, I see someone buying a car or achieving something. Everyone is very successful. But today I am going to talk about my failures of the last one year,” she said.
From Lock Up To Khatron Ke Khiladi
According to Uorfi, Bigg Boss was only one of several reality-TV opportunities that did not materialise. She said she had been offered Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, but a date clash with another show prevented her from accepting it. She also claimed that she was later rejected by Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 and replaced as a mentor on Playground.
Uorfi further said that the second season of her Prime Video show Follow Kar Lo Yaar was cancelled and alleged that a Netflix project she was working on was scrapped after an episode had already been filmed.

Uorfi Says Brand Deals Have Also Dropped
The actor also claimed that her brand collaborations have declined. According to Uorfi, she previously handled around five or six brand deals a month, but that number has now fallen to about two. Reflecting on the setbacks, she summed up the period bluntly: “I think that this year has been a year of rejection for me.”
Uorfi was last seen hosting Splitsvilla 16 alongside Nia Sharma, Karan Kundrra and Sunny Leone.
