UP creates history in digital KCC, becomes number 1 in the country with one lakh applications

Uttar Pradesh Digital KCC: Amidst the increasing use of technology in farming, Uttar Pradesh has achieved a new position in the country in the field of Digital Kisan Credit Card (e-KCC). So far, more than one lakh farmers in the state have applied through e-KCC portal or app. Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country to cross the figure of one lakh in just eight months. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the digital KCC facility run by NABARD in February last, after which this initiative gained momentum in the state.

This scheme of the double engine government, especially for small and marginal farmers, is proving to be an important step towards making access to agricultural credit easier. Now farmers do not need to visit bank branches again and again to take loans. Farmers are saving both time and labor by getting the facility to complete the application and process sitting at home through digital medium.

UP is far ahead of Karnataka, Haryana and other states

In the case of Digital KCC, Uttar Pradesh has achieved the top position, leaving other states of the country far behind. Karnataka is in second place with about 95 thousand applications and Haryana is in third place with about 42 thousand. On the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath, farmers of the state are being benefited from this scheme on a large scale.

Less need to go to bank, facility of loan sitting at home

In the traditional system, earlier for agricultural loans, farmers had to go to bank branches and complete applications, documents and other procedures. Digital KCC has opened the way towards simplifying this process. Now farmers are taking advantage of the facilities through digital medium. This is making it easier for small and marginal farmers to access formal agricultural credit systems, especially.

Increased facility of digital agriculture services in the state

Cooperative Minister JPS Rathore said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the digital KCC in February. The objective of which is to connect farmers with the agricultural credit system through technology and to make the process of obtaining loans simpler. One lakh farmers applying for it in just eight months of its inception is a big example of increased facilities of digital agriculture services in the state.
