2A sensational case of murder has come to light from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, where a man brutally murdered his wife. The accused hit the wife several times on her face, eyes and forehead with a silbatta. The woman died on the spot due to serious injuries. The police have taken the accused husband into custody and started questioning. Initial investigation has revealed that the reason for the murder was the ongoing dispute between the couple regarding the wife’s alleged love affair.
The whole matter is of Mandara village of Puramufti police station area, where Suman Kumar lived with his 28-year-old wife Bijma Devi and three children. Both of them got married about 10 years ago.
Police had received information about the murder at night.
According to the information, at around 2:30 pm on Thursday night, information about the murder of a woman was received on dial-112 in Mandara village. As soon as the information was received, the team of Dial-112 reached the spot. After this, the police of Puramufti police station reached the spot and started investigation.
The blood-soaked body of a woman was lying inside the house. Police cordoned off the incident site, collected evidence and took husband Suman Kumar into custody on the basis of suspicion.
There used to be a fight over suspicion of relationship with nephew.
During police interrogation, the accused husband told that he suspected his wife of having an alleged love affair with his nephew. There was often dispute between the two regarding this matter. According to the accused, his wife had allegedly met the young man on Wednesday night also. There was a fight again between the two regarding this matter, after which he killed his wife.
It is being told that Suman had brought his wife back from her maternal home three days ago. The police are now investigating the statement of the accused and other aspects related to the incident.
