UP Global Business: Uttar Pradesh is now strengthening its identity not only as a major market of the country but also as a major center of global trade, investment and manufacturing. The efforts being made by the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to attract investment, promote exports and connect the entrepreneurs of the state with the global market will also be seen in the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS)-2026.
Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Russia, Austria and Belarus have been included as partner countries in UPITS-2026 to be held at India Expo Center and Mart, Greater Noida from 25 to 29 September. This event with the participation of six countries will become an opportunity for UP to strengthen the concept of ‘Local to Global’. Representatives of partner countries will showcase their products and technology and will also interact directly with the entrepreneurs, investors and businessmen of the state. This will create possibilities for business partnerships, technical cooperation and new business opportunities.
Proposed participation of 36 foreign exhibitors and about 100 buyers
According to the partner country plan of UPITS-2026, 54 square meter exhibition area has been earmarked for Vietnam, 54 square meter for Japan, 36-36 square meter for Singapore and Russia and 54 square meter for Austria. The proposed list for these five countries includes a total of 36 exhibitors and 100 buyers. Belarus has also been included as a partner country and interaction with the Chief Minister and B2B activities are proposed for it. The importance of this partnership also increases because the activities here will not be limited to product demonstration only. A roadmap has been drawn up to take forward business relations through B2B meetings, country sessions, roundtables and interactions with high-level delegations.
Global industry will be directly connected through dialogue with the Chief Minister
Special sessions of dialogue with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are proposed for foreign delegations in the partner country program of UPITS-2026. Dialogue sessions are to be organized for representatives of different countries on 25 September. The delegations from Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Russia, Austria and Belarus include ambassadors, High Commissioners, Trade Commissioners, economic and commercial representatives and senior industry representatives. These included the Ambassador of Japan to India, H.E. Keiichi Ono, Singapore’s High Commissioner to India, H.E. Other representatives mentioned include Simon Wong, Russia’s Trade Commissioner Andrey Sobolev and Austria’s Trade Commissioner and Commercial Counselor Hans-Jörg Hortnagl.
From aviation to pharma and EV in Vietnam’s pavilion
Vietnam’s participation covers diverse sectors such as aviation, tourism, agriculture, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, food, textile, garment, handicrafts and electric vehicles. In this, participation of Vietnam Airlines, tourism sector companies, pharma and health related enterprises and other companies is proposed. This will provide an opportunity to entrepreneurs of Uttar Pradesh to interact with potential international business partners in sectors like aviation, tourism, pharma, agro-based industries, textiles and electric mobility.
Japan’s technology and industrial expertise
A comprehensive presentation of products related to technology and industrial sector is proposed in the Japan pavilion. Companies such as Wacom India, Air & Water India, ITO N, Sushi & More, Keto India and Taiyo India will represent sectors such as signature devices, industrial gases, Japanese tea, Japanese food, lifting equipment and machinery spare parts. Information related to investment and promotion policies will also be shared by Japan External Trade Organization i.e. JETRO.
Technology, Transportation and Industrial Solutions
Singapore companies will participate with video surveillance solutions, soldering equipment and products related to the education sector. Companies involved in petrochemicals, industrial gases, laboratory equipment, diagnostic kits, oxygen solutions and recruitment and staffing services are proposed from Russia. Austria’s participation will include companies from sectors such as forklift and workshop equipment, intelligent transportation, decorative and lighting products and mobility and transport systems.
Yogi government’s investment policy on global platform
In the investment strategy of the Uttar Pradesh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, emphasis is being laid on investment attraction, providing facilities to investors, expansion of industrial infrastructure and connecting the state with the global business network. UPITS-2026 will become a platform to take forward this comprehensive investment and business connect on the ground. Through the participation of partner countries, Uttar Pradesh will have the opportunity to expand access to foreign markets, develop new business partnerships and explore opportunities for technical cooperation.
Business opportunities from B2B meetings
The B2B meetings to be held at UPITS will become a medium to establish direct contact between the entrepreneurs of the state and foreign businessmen. This will provide an opportunity to discuss business partnerships and potential investment proposals rather than just showcasing the products.
A country session on the topic ‘Innovation Technologies and Tourism’ is proposed for Vietnam. A knowledge session on the topic ‘Leveraging India’s Free Trade Agreements for Global Business Growth’ is proposed by Austria. In this way, the effort to connect trade, investment, technology, tourism and export on a single platform in UPITS-2026 seems to be coming true.
Products will get exposure to international market
The major strengths of Uttar Pradesh are its extensive MSME network, traditional industries and local products. In such a situation, an important aspect of an international platform like UPITS is to connect the local entrepreneurs and products of the state with foreign buyers. Such platforms can become a medium for business contacts to take products, handicrafts, textiles, agro-based products, food processing and other manufactured goods from different districts of the state to the international market.
Important platform for ‘local to global’ journey
In the last edition also, a large number of international buyers and exhibitors from the state participated in UPITS. On the same lines, under the leadership of Yogi government, UPITS-2026 is going to become an important platform for Uttar Pradesh’s ‘local to global’ journey in the direction of simultaneously advancing investment facilities, industrial development and global business connectivity.
