Preparations for the fourth edition of Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 are almost complete. A five-day trade show will be organized from September 25 to September 29 at India Expo Center and Mart, Greater Noida. Today, a day before the start of the trade show, State MSME and Export Promotion Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary visited the venue and took stock of the preparations.
The minister reviewed the arrangements at the venue with the officials. During this, he also gave information to the media related to the preparations and organization of the trade show.
Special things related to UPITS 2026
- UPITS 2026 will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah tomorrow i.e. on 25th September. State government ministers, senior officials, industry representatives and other guests will participate in the program along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
- This trade show is being jointly organized by the Uttar Pradesh Government and India Exposition Mart Limited. Its main objective is to connect the state's products, industries, MSME, startups, handicrafts and ODOP products with the domestic and foreign markets.
- This time more than 2,400 exhibitors are participating in the trade show. These include MSMEs, big industries, startups, exporters, artisans and businessmen from different sectors. So far, information about registration of foreign buyers from 72 countries has come to light.
- B2B meeting facility has also been provided for business related meetings between buyers and exhibitors. For this, a meeting can be scheduled in advance through the app.
- Japan, Vietnam, Russia, Singapore, Austria and Belarus have been made partner countries in UPITS 2026. With the participation of these countries, businessmen of Uttar Pradesh are expected to get new opportunities in the international market, investment and business partnerships.
- Products from many sectors including agriculture and food processing, automobile and EV, electronics, IT, textile, handloom-handicraft, leather, medical and pharma, infrastructure, real estate, tourism, logistics, renewable energy and defense will be displayed in the trade show. This time, along with ODOP, One District, One Cuisine (ODOC) is also being given importance.
- According to the administration, around five lakh people are expected to attend the trade show during the five days. In view of this, special attention has been paid to parking, public transport and traffic system.
- In view of the presence of VIPs and foreign representatives, strict security arrangements have also been made. Separate arrangements have also been made for VIP movement along with monitoring of entry and exit at the venue. A plan has also been prepared by the police and administration to keep the traffic smooth.
What will happen on the first day of UP International Trade Show?
- On the first day (25 September) of the UP International Trade Show 2026 (UPITS 4.0) to be held at India Expo Center and Mart, Greater Noida, there will be a grand inauguration and many main events related to global trade.
- This five-day mega event will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. From the very first day, a huge exhibition of ODOP (ODOP – One District One Product), Electric Vehicles (EVs), Electronics, Defense Equipment and traditional handicrafts will be open to global buyers.
- Special business to business (B2B) sessions and meetings will start from day one to connect local MSMEs and manufacturers with foreign and domestic buyers.
- This year, America has been made the guest country, and pavilions and technical demonstrations of partner countries like Austria, Belarus, Japan, Russia, Singapore and Vietnam will also be the center of attraction on the first day.
- The timing for business visitors is from 11:00 am to 03:00 pm and for the general public, the timing is from 03:00 pm to 08:00 pm.
Through UPITS, efforts are being made to give local products and businessmen of Uttar Pradesh access to national and international markets. Manufacturers, exporters, buyers, investors and businessmen will be present on one platform in the trade show.
