Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday performed Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of 602 houses at a cost of more than Rs 191 crore under the Padma Lok Awas Yojana on 9,811 square meter land freed from mafia in Kasari Masari, Prayagraj. Along with this, he also distributed the keys to the beneficiaries of 556 houses constructed in Pipalgaon under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). During this, the Chief Minister said that when Samajwadi Party comes, it brings mafia and goons and scoundrels and when BJP comes, development and change comes. He announced that Kasari-Masari would no longer exist, this entire area would be developed as 'Shri Krishnapuri'. Houses will be built for the poor on the land freed from mafia and a systematic township will be developed here.

Mafia Atiq had created a den of debauchery by illegal occupation
The Chief Minister said in clear words that now no one will dare to commit mafia in Prayagraj and if anyone does or gets it done, then he should also prepare to be buried in the ground. No goon or mafia can take over anyone's property. If anyone does this, his ancestors' earnings will also be confiscated. After Lukarganj, now houses for the poor will be built in Kasari-Masari also on the government land freed from mafia. The land which was once occupied by mafia Atiq Ahmed and his henchmen, will now build permanent houses for poor families. Atiq Ahmed and his goons had occupied two and a half hectares i.e. about 15 bighas of land and had built a stable there, turning it into a den of debauchery. The government demolished that illegal empire and liberated the land. Now houses for the poor will be built on this land. This is not just an action to free the land from encroachment, but also a determination to use it for the benefit of the poor and needy families of the society.
Previous government used to kneel before mafia Atiq-Ashraf
The Chief Minister said that Prayagraj is a place of pilgrimage. This is the land of social equality, the sacred land of Lord Akshayavat and the land purified by the sadhana of Maharishi Bhardwaj. This land has cherished the greatness of the pilgrimage for ages and passed it on from generation to generation. But there was a time in this Prayagraj, when the land on which Mafia Atiq and Mafia Ashraf set foot, became theirs and the state government remained silent on its knees in front of them. There was a threat to the safety of daughters here. The mafia was synonymous with fear and panic in the streets and alleys of Prayagraj, waving weapons. The common man felt unsafe due to the terror of the mafia. In such an environment, neither development could take place, nor investment could come, nor could the youth get employment, nor could any action plan for their bright future move forward.

Zero tolerance towards criminals
The Chief Minister said that our government had made it clear on the very first day that a policy of zero tolerance towards crime and criminals will be adopted. No criminal will get any concession and Uttar Pradesh will be made mafia free. Today the results of this resolution are visible. The government moved forward to punish the Mafia, which was once a symbol of fear and terror, for its actions. In Prayagraj, MLA Raju Pal was shot dead in public and the then government was seen pleading in front of these mafias.
The Chief Minister said that the government resolved to destroy the illegal empire of the mafia and use the land freed from them for the benefit of the poor. In Lukerganj, housing has been provided to 86 poor families by building a high-rise building on the land that was freed from the mafia. Now the housing scheme is being taken forward in Kasari-Masari also. There is a plan to provide housing to 602 families in the first phase and 598 families in the second phase. Thus about 1,200 families will get permanent houses.
Market-park-gym and sports facilities will also be available
The Chief Minister said that when about 1,200 families will live in this residential complex, there will be a population of more than six to six and a half thousand people. Not just houses, but a separate township will be developed for them. A market will be built here, park facilities, space for sports, gym will be built and other facilities will also be provided as per the needs of the people. Prayagraj Development Authority will work to develop these facilities.

He said that providing housing to the poor does not only mean providing them a roof, but also creating such an environment for their families, where children can get better facilities and families can live a dignified life. The government is providing housing facilities to every poor and person of every caste without any discrimination. For the first time after independence, the government in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided permanent houses to 65 lakh poor. Now in Prayagraj also the facility of permanent housing is being provided to the poor.
Construction of bridge, law university in Prayagraj also in final stage
The Chief Minister said that during the Mahakumbh, roads were widened on a large scale in Prayagraj. Now there are roads here ranging from seven meters to 14 meters wide and traffic has become easier. The government is providing an environment of security so that the youth can get employment, their jobs are properly arranged, the poor can get shelter to cover their heads and every citizen can take the benefit of good governance and establish new patterns of development. With this objective in mind, many development schemes are being taken forward in Prayagraj. Rs 950 crore is being spent on a big bridge on river Ganga in Sahaso area. The construction of Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University in the same assembly constituency is also nearing completion.
ITI will be built in the name of Maharaja Bijli Pasi
The Chief Minister said that the plan for construction of ITI in Prayagraj is also being taken forward. This ITI will be named after Maharaja Bijli Pasi. Maharaja Bijli Pasi had built 12 forts in Lucknow and surrounding areas. He was a strong defender of Sanatan Dharma during the period of foreign invaders. His contribution will be honored by building an ITI in his name.
Now better connectivity for Prayagraj
CM said that Prayagraj is now connected with better connectivity. An airport has been built here and the Ganga Expressway is directly reducing the distance from Prayagraj to Meerut and Delhi. Earlier it used to take 10 to 12 hours to go from Prayagraj to Delhi by car, but now this distance can be covered in about seven hours through Ganga Expressway. This is the change of the double engine BJP government.
On this occasion, Prayagraj in-charge minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Prayagraj West MLA and former minister Siddharth Nath Singh, MP Praveen Patel, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani, MLA Harshvardhan Vajpayee, Piyush Ranjan Nishad, Deepak Patel, Guru Prasad Maurya, Legislative Council member Surendra Chaudhary, Bharatiya Janata Party state vice president and MLA Pooja Pal and former MP Vinod Sonkar were present.
