Outcry due to power cut in scorching heat, stir in electricity department due to action of Yogi government! Two officers were punished

Uttar Pradesh Power Crisis: These days, people are in distress due to power cut in Uttar Pradesh. Now the government has taken major action regarding negligence and irregularities in the working system of Power Transmission Corporation. Taking a strict stance, the department has suspended two executive engineers. According to the information, Executive Engineer Rahul posted in Ghaziabad has been suspended with immediate effect and orders have also been given to attach him to Meerut headquarters.

Similarly, Executive Engineer Yogesh Kumar working in Meerut has also been suspended. Both the officers have been accused of negligence in departmental functioning and serious lapses in discharging their responsibilities.

Negligence will not be tolerated

The action taken at the departmental level is being considered an important step to ensure accountability and discipline in the Power Corporation. Officials said that such negligence will not be tolerated in future and such actions will be continued in future also after investigating the cases seriously.

Let us tell you that the power cut amid the scorching heat in Uttar Pradesh has worsened the condition of the people. In many districts of the state, Lucknow, Meerut, Gonda, Ghaziabad and rural areas, people’s anger over irregular power supply is visible even on the streets. These days, despite the temperature reaching between 40 to 45 degrees Celsius in the state, the condition of common people is worsening due to long power cuts.

Pictures of demonstrations and protests by people angry over power cuts have also surfaced at many places. In the video viral on social media, people were seen protesting outside the houses of MLAs and public representatives till late night regarding power cuts.

The power crisis in the state has also become a new challenge for the government politically. Recently, after the uproar over installation of prepaid smart meters, the government had changed them to postpaid, but despite this, the public anger is not decreasing.

Akhilesh and Mayawati raised questions

Now the opposition has also loudly raised questions on this entire matter. Samajwadi Party President and former Chief Minister of the state Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati have launched a scathing attack on the state government regarding the electricity system and termed it a complete failure.
