Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: Lucknow athletes performed brilliantly on the second day of the 42nd Sub-Junior, 10th Cadet, 44th Junior, 43rd Senior Kyorugi, and 10th Poomsae Uttar Pradesh State Taekwondo Championships, being held at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Multipurpose Hall at the KD Singh Babu Stadium. The athletes from Lucknow won several medals, including eight gold medals. Association President Shailesh Kumar Singh Shailu and Secretary Rajkumar were also present on the occasion.
Lucknow Dominates
On Saturday, Pihu Shakya won gold and Kavya Diwakar won silver in the cadet girls’ individual poomsae.
In the sub-junior girls’ under 20 kg category, all the medals went to Lucknow, with Anika Gupta winning gold, Ananya Kashyap winning silver, and Indu Yadav and Manika Kushwaha winning bronze.
In the cadet girls’ team poomsae, the team of Vedanshi Pathak, Kavya Diwakar, and Akshita Mishra won gold. The team of Pari Gaur, Manvi Pandey, and Alankrita Pandey won the silver medal.

Girls Sub-Junior (Under 32 kg):
Aashna Rai of Lucknow won the gold medal. Arika Azad of Sitapur won the silver, while Anvi Singh of Ghaziabad and Nitya Shri Singh of Jaunpur won the bronze medals.
Cadet Boys (Under 53 kg):
Aviral Singh of Lucknow won the gold medal. Anay Yadav of Prayagraj won the silver, while Shivam Nishad of Chandauli and Samar Chaudhary of Saharanpur won the bronze medals.
Cadet Girls (Under 47 kg):
Riya Kashyap of Lucknow won the gold medal, and Kavya Diwakar of Lucknow won the silver medal. Samridhi of Varanasi and Khushi Kumari of Azamgarh won the bronze medals.
Cadet Girls (Under 55 kg):
Ishita of Lucknow won the gold medal. Ananya Katiyar of Kanpur won silver, while Riddhi Gupta of Jaunpur and Shambhavi Parmar of Bareilly won bronze medals.
Cadet Girls (+59 kg):
Navya Singh of Lucknow won gold. Atulya Srivastava of Bareilly won silver, while Shivani of Agra and Navika Gupta of Prayagraj won bronze medals.
