Ruckus in Patna, Tejashwi Yadav's march stopped on Income Tax Golambar, clash between police and RJD workers

Patna. Patna, the capital of Bihar, today turned into a battlefield when the 'Raj Bhavan March' organized under the leadership of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav was stopped at Income Tax Golambar. Police used heavy water cannon to disperse the protesters. After this, the supporters of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) created a ruckus.

The march was against Siwan police firing and paper leak.

Let us tell you that this march was being carried out in protest against the alleged police firing during the student movement in Siwan, Bihar and the recent paper leak cases. Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav along with his supporters wanted to go to Raj Bhavan and submit a memorandum to the Governor. RJD has alleged that the government is resorting to lathicharge and water cannons to suppress the voice of the students.

Sharp clash between police and workers

Let us tell you that as soon as this march crossed Gandhi Maidan and Dak Bungalow intersection and reached Income Tax Intersection, the police stopped the crowd from moving forward through the barricades made in advance. After this, when the workers tried to break the barricading, the police started water cannon. After this, RJD workers became angry, after which there was a heated clash and scuffle with the police.

Strict security arrangements

Due to this movement, traffic came to a complete standstill in the busiest areas of Patna. There were long queues of vehicles at Income Tax Golambar for hours. However, for security reasons, the administration has deployed more than 500 additional police personnel from Gandhi Maidan to Secretariat Road.
