The monsoon session of Telangana Assembly started on a stormy note on Monday. As soon as the House proceedings began, MLAs of the main opposition party Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) created a ruckus. As the uproar increased, the House was adjourned for 15 minutes. BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) and MLA Harish Rao were taken into custody for protesting against the Congress government.
After being detained, KTR accused Congress of coming to power by being careless and making false promises.
Congress came to power by making false promises- KTR
KTR said, 'Congress came to power by making careless and false promises. He has cheated all sections of the society. He made 420 promises, and said they would be fulfilled within 100 days. These promises were also given in writing on bond paper. He said that the promises would be fulfilled within 100 days, but even after 1,000 days, not a single promise has been fulfilled yet.
MLA came wearing black clothes
Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLAs K Revanth Reddy had come to the Assembly wearing black clothes to protest against the government. BRS MLAs protested at Gunpark over the failure of the Congress government after 1,000 days in office.

Demand from BJP government
Meanwhile, BJP in the House also demanded a judicial inquiry into the land issue in Telangana. BJP MLAs raised slogans demanding an immediate discussion on the issue of inclusion of private lands of citizens in the prohibited list under Section 22A of the Registration Act, which prohibits registration and other transactions of properties included in it.

Government ready for discussion-Minister
BRS leaders were not allowed to enter the assembly complex, after which KTR, Harish Rao and other BRS leaders were taken into custody by the police. The protest caused major traffic disruption outside the Telangana Assembly and a large number of party workers and policemen gathered.
However, Assembly Speaker G Prasad Kumar appealed to the BJP MLAs to cooperate in initiating the proceedings but they remained adamant on their demand. Legislative Affairs Minister D. Sridhar Babu said that the government is ready to discuss the issue, but despite this the opposition is creating ruckus.
