The case of police raid at the house of Bihar's Banka MP Girdhari Yadav is gaining momentum. The MP has described the police action as an attack on his social and political reputation. The police termed the MP's allegations as baseless and said that the action has been taken in a case of illegal soil mining. According to the police, this action has nothing to do with the MP. On one hand the MPs are demanding an impartial investigation and on the other hand the police are calling it a regular legal process.
The MP said that if the police had to interrogate him, a call could have been made directly. He himself called the SP regarding this matter but his call was not received. After this, he asked for an appointment with the SP through letter pad but he was not even given an appointment. The MP termed the SP's call not being received as a serious issue.
The MP said that no case has been registered against him or any member of his family so far. Even Section 107 action has not been taken against him. Then on what basis did the police reach his house? Girdhari Yadav raised the question that when the police can reach the house of a public representative like this, then what will be the condition of the common people. He said that this action of the police has damaged his social and political reputation. According to the MP, when the police reached his ancestral residence, only women were present in the house. He raised the question that how can the police reach someone's house like this without any warrant or valid order. This is completely against the rules. The house of a public representative is also like that of a common citizen, the police cannot enter there without legal process.

Police also reached Deoghar
The MP claimed that the police had also reached his residence in Deoghar late at night. At that time only women were present in the house. According to the MP, the policemen had reached there on the pretext of drinking water. He called this method objectionable. The MP said that his family has remained away from any kind of criminal activity and the social and political image of his family has also been clean.
He said that a complaint has been made about the entire matter to the DIG and a demand has been made to investigate the police raid. The MP said that if he does not get justice from the Bihar Police Administration and the State Government, he will also raise this matter in Parliament. He described it as a matter related to democracy and the rights of public representatives.
During the press conference, the MP also mentioned an incident of 2005. He told that at that time he was attacked in which his driver died. After receiving the information, the police team reached the spot and his life was saved. The MP said that the police had helped him at that time but now his house is being raided without any reason. He said that he has many questions in his mind regarding this action and he wants an impartial investigation into the entire matter.

SP termed the allegations as false
Banka SP Amitesh Kumar has termed the MP's allegations as completely baseless. He said that an FIR has been registered against Prince Construction contractors Laldhari Yadav, Omkar Yadav and Munshi in the case of illegal soil mining from government land. Police have raided in this case. The SP clearly said that this matter has nothing to do with MP Girdhari Yadav.
According to the SP, the police had registered a case after receiving a complaint about illegal mining. Under this, raids were conducted in search of the accused. He said that if information is received about the accused hiding somewhere, the police go there and investigate. At present, political controversy has increased regarding this matter. On one hand, the MPs are talking about their reputation and the rights of public representatives, while the police are calling it a normal action related to the FIR registered. Now only after the investigation it will be clear as to which accused the police had conducted the raid in search of and under what legal process the entire action was taken. The picture of the case may become clearer after the DIG's investigation.
