UPSSSC PET Recruitment 2026: Today is an important date for the candidates preparing for government jobs (Sarkari Naukri) in Uttar Pradesh. The revised deadline for application for the Preliminary Eligibility Test i.e. PET 2026 of Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) is ending today, 7 September 2026. Candidates who have not yet completed their form should complete the application process today itself.
Application can be made online through the official website of the Commission upsssc.gov.in. To avoid last minute technical difficulties, candidates are advised to apply early.
Why was the application date extended?
UPSSSC had initially set the last date of application for PET 2026 as September 1. However, during the application process, many candidates complained about technical issues related to the website. Some candidates faced difficulty in accessing the website, while many candidates reported problems in OTP verification. In view of the complaints, the Commission had extended the last date for registration, fee payment and online form submission, giving additional time to the candidates. UPSSSC PET 2026: How much is the application fee? The application fee has been determined differently according to the category of the candidate.
Application Fee for Unreserved and OBC Candidates: Rs 185 Application Fee for SC/ST: Rs 95 Fee for Disabled (PwD): Rs 25 Candidates can pay the fee through online mode. For this, options like credit card, debit card, internet banking and UPI are available. Apart from this, fees can also be deposited through SBI challan
Keep these things in mind before applying:
Candidates who have not yet started the application or the form is incomplete, should not wait for the last minute. Along with registration, payment of prescribed fee and final submission of application form is also required to be completed within the stipulated time limit. After submitting the form, the candidate should keep its receipt or confirmation page safe.
