US-Iran deal is very important for India…. Prices of petroleum products may reduce
Tehran. The agreement between America and Iran is very important for India. This agreement will provide a lot of relief especially for the energy needs of India because if the movement of ships from Hormuz becomes normal then the prices of petroleum products will come down. Arun Kumar, former professor at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University, says that there is a possibility that the prices of petroleum products in India will come down within the next three months. This will reduce the pressure of expensive petroleum products on the domestic industry, the effect of which will also be visible in the form of improvement in the prices of domestic manufacturing in India. Former professor Arun Kumar said that production costs will reduce. Along with this, fertilizer import will also improve.
Let us tell you that as soon as the US-Iran peace agreement was signed, the movement of ships in the sea route Hormuz increased on Thursday. According to the information, a total of ten commercial ships have passed through Hormuz while many ships from the Persian Gulf have moved towards Hormuz, but it may take months to get relief. Energy experts say, this crisis will not end immediately. It may take months for the market to get back on track.
Here, three super tankers filled with oil from Saudi Arabia and a tanker filled with gas from Qatar crossed Hormuz. According to the report of Tanker Tracker, Saudi Arabia’s super tankers Shaden and Jaham were stuck in the Persian Gulf for almost two months. After the agreement it was seen in the Gulf of Oman. The three tankers carry about 6 million barrels of oil, which were loaded from the Saudi ports of Juamah and Ras Tanura a day before the war started in February.
Saudi Arabia mainly uses Red Sea ports for oil exports. Similarly, Qatar’s ship Maraikh was also stuck in the Persian Gulf for about a month. After the agreement, this tanker filled with gas is moving towards Pakistani port Qasim.
Why is Hormuz important?
Hormuz is an approximately 55 km wide waterway located between Iran and Oman, connecting the Persian Gulf to the Arabian Sea. About 20% of the global energy supply passes through this route. After the start of ship activity in Hormuz, it is expected that in the coming time, a large number of tankers filled with oil can leave Hormuz.
More than 100 tankers ready to move forward
According to reports, more than 100 tankers are ready to move forward. It has 30 super tankers. One has a capacity of 20 lakh barrels. On 17 June, 26 ships were seen around Hormuz. Activity of 871 tankers was observed in the Persian Gulf. This includes the maximum number of 128 ships flagged by Iran, 127 by Panama, 89 by Comoros and 75 by UAE.
Even after the US-Iran agreement, it may take months for oil and gas supplies to return to normal around the world. Energy experts say, this crisis will not end overnight. It may take several months for the market to get back on track. According to experts, the main reasons for this are the slow pace of crude oil transportation and cleaning process. First these stranded ships will be taken out, only after which the new ship will be allowed.
will help with storage
India is expected to get three major benefits from the peace agreement between America and Iran. Former diplomat Zakir Hussain says that it is clear that America could not achieve the goal through military action for which it had attacked Iran. Therefore now he has chosen the path of diplomacy.
Has America become weak?
Critics are considering the peace agreement with Iran as weak for America. According to him, it seems that America has lost almost all its advantage and has given Iran an opportunity to earn billions of dollars by lifting the sanctions. According to a report, America’s position may be weakened in the crucial 60-day talks that will decide Iran’s nuclear future. Trump tried for weeks to sway Iran with bombing. He even threatened to destroy Iran’s civilization. The months-long war resulted in neither a change of government nor could the Islamic Republic be forced into an agreement in favor of Washington. When diplomacy stalled, he redeployed bombers and missiles last week. But later he thought it better to get out of the war.
