Pregnant women in Uttarakhand will get ₹2000 for this help
Uttarakhand Health Minister Subodh Uniyal has made an important announcement. Now, if government ambulance is not available then Asha workers can take pregnant women to the hospital by private ambulance or any other vehicle. For this the government will pay them two thousand rupees. This announcement was made by Health Minister Subodh Uniyal on Thursday on the occasion of the inauguration of the new building in the hospital located in Raipur.
He said that the government is continuously working to improve health services. Special attention is being given to the care of mothers and children, especially in villages and hilly areas. Emphasis is being laid on increasing the number of institutional deliveries i.e. hospital births, so that both mother and child remain safe. The minister said that the idea of starting a private ambulance system is also underway. The health department will not be allowed to face any shortage of funds. The number of doctors is being increased in hilly areas, so that good medical facilities can be available even in remote areas.
Strict instructions to doctors
Health Minister Subodh Uniyal gave a clear warning to the doctors during the program. He said that doctors should not refer patients to other hospitals unnecessarily nor should they prescribe outside medicines. Complete treatment of patients should be done in government hospitals only.
Special preparations for Chardham Yatra
Regarding the Chardham Yatra, the Health Minister said that the safety of the pilgrims and their health facilities are the biggest priority of the government. If any road accident occurs on the travel route, special arrangements have been made so that the patient can get proper treatment within the ‘golden hour’ i.e. one hour of the accident. The health department is fully prepared to provide all kinds of medical help to all the devotees coming on Chardham Yatra.
New 30 bed modern building in Raipur Hospital
As the main attraction of the program, the new five-storey building of Raipur Hospital with 30 beds was inaugurated. Modern facilities have been provided in this new building. There is arrangement for emergency and OPD on the ground floor. There are two general wards on the first floor, which have 8 beds each. Private and semi-private wards have been made on the second floor, which will be available for Rs 1,000. There is a radiology (X-ray etc.) and pathology (testing) center on the third floor. CMS office, administrative office and conference hall have been built on the fourth and fifth floors.
Strict action against culprits in medical college scam
Health Minister Subodh Uniyal also took a strong stance on the mess scam and other financial irregularities of Doon Medical College. He said that the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances. The government has made it clear that corruption will not be tolerated at any level. The minister said that the role of employees, doctors and officers in this matter is being investigated from the director level. Whoever is found involved in this, strict legal action will be taken against him.
Praise for MLA Umesh Kau
During the program, Health Minister Subodh Uniyal praised Raipur MLA Umesh Sharma ‘Cow’. He said that MLA Kau is always dedicated to the work of the public. Be it the government of former Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna or Harish Rawat, Kau never shied away from fighting the government for the rights of the people. On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, MLA Umesh Kau, DG Health Dr. Sunita Tamta, NHM Director Dr. Rashmi Pant, CMO Dr. Manoj Sharma and many officers and medical personnel were present.
