Uttarakhand: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the tricolor at the Chief Minister's residence on the occasion of 80th Independence Day. Before the flag hoisting, the Chief Minister and the officers and employees present there together sang 'Vande Mataram'. After this the Chief Minister hoisted the national flag and administered the oath of national unity to everyone.
Salute to freedom fighters and soldiers
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami greeted the people of the state on Independence Day. He remembered the freedom fighters who dedicated their lives for the independence of the country. Also paid tribute to the brave soldiers who made supreme sacrifice while protecting the country. The Chief Minister said that the country is moving rapidly towards fulfilling the strong, prosperous and self-reliant India that the freedom fighters and brave soldiers had dreamed of.
Every citizen should contribute for developed India
CM Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving in a new direction of development. To fulfill the goal of developed India, every citizen will have to understand his responsibility. He said that all people should work with complete honesty and dedication in their respective fields. To take the country to new heights of development, participation of common people along with the government is also necessary. India can be made stronger only through collective efforts.
Government committed to the development of Uttarakhand
The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working for the overall and balanced development of Uttarakhand. The government is trying to ensure that the benefits of development reach every area and every section of the state. He said that with the cooperation and participation of all the people in the development of the state, work is being done to make Uttarakhand the best state of the country. The Chief Minister said that Independence Day is not just a day of celebration, but it also reminds us of our duties and responsibilities towards the country. Everyone should resolve to play their role in the national interest.
