Uttarakhand News: To give a new direction to the development of Uttarakhand, the young generation of the state has openly put forward their thinking and vision. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's special initiative 'Mere Sapno Ka Uttarakhand' campaign has received unprecedented support from the schools of the state. More than two lakh sixty seven thousand students studying in class 11th and 12th across the state have written essays and prepared a blueprint for the future of the state. This is the first time that school students have been directly involved in the policy making process of the state and their suggestions have been sought. This enthusiasm of the youth clearly shows how serious and aware they are about the progress of their state.
The campaign received full support from students
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had interacted with the students during the 'Chief Minister Yuva Vidyarthi Manthan' program organized on August 10. During this, he had called upon the students to upload their essays on a special portal by August 24 and share their ideas for the development of the state. A total of more than two lakh ninety six thousand students are studying in class 11th and 12th in the state, including government and non-government schools. Out of these, 2,67,744 students have registered their active participation by registering their essays on the portal with full enthusiasm.
Innovative ideas presented on eight important topics
The students have not only written traditional things in essay writing, but have given very practical suggestions on eight major areas keeping in mind the ground reality of the state. These include tourism, employment generation, social upliftment, forest and environment conservation, improvement in education system, better health services and use of modern technology. These views of the students are a clear proof that they understand the challenges around them very well and are also looking for solutions to them. This entire collection has become a big document of the aspirations of the new generation of Uttarakhand.
100% enthusiasm shown in hilly districts
Students from remote and marginal districts of the state have participated enthusiastically in this campaign. If we look at the data, 100 percent students in Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Chamoli districts uploaded their thoughts on the portal. Apart from this, 98.82 percent students participated in Pauri, 97.46 percent in Almora, 91.77 percent in Haridwar and 91.57 percent in Tehri. The participation figure was also quite high in Bageshwar, Nainital and Uttarkashi. Whereas in the capital Dehradun, out of more than 63 thousand students, more than 47 thousand students have submitted their essays.
Top 140 students will get a big opportunity
Now a special team of experts is examining all the essays received on the portal. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself is also observing these thoughts. After this entire process, the results of the best ideas will be released on September 16. The best 140 ideas will be selected from across the state. Selected students will get a platform to sit with senior officials and secretaries of the government and discuss their ideas directly. The Chief Minister himself will interact with these promising students and after listening to their experiences, they will include them in the future plans of the state.
Will help in preparing for competitive exams
Students who give best ideas will not only get an opportunity to communicate, but will also be given special encouragement for their bright future. According to the government plan, these promising students will be provided higher career guidance and necessary support for preparation of competitive examinations. Along with this, every student participating in the campaign has also been given a digital certificate as a mark of respect for their participation. According to Dr. Rahul Aggarwal, coordinator of the campaign, complete details of every block, school and student of the state have been collected in a transparent manner so that the entire process remains systematic.
Resolve to make the dreams of youth come true
Expressing happiness over this wonderful participation, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the students of the state are not just the tomorrow, but their suggestions are capable of giving a new and right direction to today's Uttarakhand. The main objective of the government is to listen to the thinking of the new generation and incorporate their useful suggestions in the development model of the state. He reiterated that the youth will be made partners at every step to make the dream of a strong and prosperous Uttarakhand come true.
