Uttarakhand SDRF Major Achievement: SDRF Uttarakhand Police has achieved important achievements in the direction of quality, efficiency and standardization in disaster management and rescue services. The prescribed process of ISO 9001 Certification has been successfully completed by SDRF Corps Headquarters, Jollygrant.
Change with the inspiration of Chief Minister and Director General of Police
As per the guidelines of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, continuous work is being done towards making disaster management and rescue services more effective, modern and standardized in the state. Under the guidance of Director General of Police, Uttarakhand Deepam Seth, SDRF is continuously making quality improvements in its functioning, training, resource management and rescue procedures.
In-depth audit of Bureau of Indian Standards at Jolly Grant Headquarters
Under the process of ISO Certification, the first audit was conducted by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on 14 July 2026 at SDRF Corps Headquarters, Jolly Grant. A detailed inspection of various branches and procedures of the corps was conducted by Vishnu Gupta, former Scientist 'G' and Deputy Director General, BIS, Government of India, in the presence of Commander SDRF Arpan Yaduvanshi.
Open examination of rigorous standards and modern processes
During the audit, a detailed assessment of administrative systems, training systems, documentation, quality management, resource management and standard operating procedures (SOPs) was conducted. SDRF Uttarakhand has successfully completed the process of ISO 9001 Certification by meeting the prescribed standards and necessary procedures.
ISO certification will give new impetus to relief and rescue operations
SDRF Uttarakhand Police is moving towards becoming the first agency to obtain ISO 9001 Certification in the field of disaster management. This achievement reflects the force's commitment towards quality, standardization, accountability and continuous improvement in its functioning.
ISO 9001 Certification will lead to standardization of SDRF's methodology, better documentation and accountability, effective management of resources and continuous quality improvement in training and rescue procedures. This will help in making relief and rescue operations more effective, quick and systematic during disasters.
Strong commitment towards modern technology and better services
Commander SDRF Arpan Yaduvanshi said that with the inspiration of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, SDRF Uttarakhand is continuously strengthening modern technology, expert training, standardized procedures and quality disaster response system. This achievement towards ISO 9001 Certification further strengthens SDRF's commitment towards efficiency, quality and effective disaster management services.
