This sudden chill in the mountains has made the tourists happy, but this hailstorm has become a matter of concern for farmers.

According to Dr. Rohit Thapliyal, senior scientist of the Meteorological Center, there may be snowfall in high altitude districts like Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh on Thursday. However, this relief is going to be very short. It is being told that from May 11 the weather will once again take a turn. According to the forecast of the department, a new round of rain may start in many parts of the state from May 11, which will bring down the mercury further.
If we look at the temperature data, the minimum temperature in Mukteshwar and New Tehri has reached 7 degrees Celsius, which is quite low as per May. Tourists were seen wrapped in warm jackets after hailstorm on Mall Road in Mussoorie yesterday evening.

Those who are going for Chardham Yatra or going to the mountains in the next few days, have been advised to keep warm clothes with them.
