Prime Video has officially announced August 7 as the global premiere date for its highly anticipated Tamil Original series Vadhandhi Season Two—The Mystery of Mani.
Created, written, and directed by Andrew Louis, the new season is produced under the banner of Wallwatcher Films with Pushkar and Gayatri serving as creative producers.
The eight‑episode suspense drama stars M. Sasikumar as SI Moosa Raza, alongside Yashwanth, Anagha Maruthora, Aparna Das, Vivek Prasanna, Revathy Sharma, and Arjun Nandhakumar in key roles. Streaming exclusively on Prime Video, the series will be available in Tamil with Telugu and Hindi dubs and subtitles in 15 languages across India and over 240 countries and territories.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Madurai, the story intertwines tradition and investigation amid the energy of the Jallikattu festival. Season Two continues the franchise’s signature exploration of rumor versus reality, weaving themes of guilt, secrets, and redemption into a gripping mystery that unfolds when skeletal remains are discovered during a highway project inauguration.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, said the series “takes the franchise to new heights with its culturally rooted yet universally appealing storytelling.” Creative producers Pushkar and Gayatri added that Season Two “builds on the franchise’s unique blend of suspense, truth, and perception while delivering emotionally charged performances.”
With its rich visual palette and intense narrative, Vadhandhi Season Two—The Mystery of Mani promises to keep audiences on edge as it premieres globally on August 7.
