Vastu Tips for Sawan – Grow These Plants in Your Courtyard to Please Lord Shiva
Sawan Vastu Remedies – Like every year, this time too the holy month of Saavan is starting from 30th July. This is the time when Shiva devotees across the country leave no stone unturned to please their Lord Shiva after waiting for a year. Some take Kanwad and head towards Baba’s city, while others keep a fast on Monday at home and offer water, milk, bel leaves and flowers to Shivling.
But do you know that Lord Shiva is very fond of some special plants? And the best part – you can easily plant most of these plants on your balcony or terrace! So, let us know about those 5 plants which Bholenath himself likes, and by growing which at home you can double the beauty of Saavan.
1. Champa (Jasmine) – Shiva’s favorite flower full of fragrance
The fragrance of Champa flowers is such that it fascinates the mind. This is the reason why offering them to Bholenath is considered very auspicious. If you want your balcony to be fragrant, then the Champa plant is the best option.
Tip: It requires at least 5-6 hours of bright sunlight daily for good growth and abundant flowers. Keep it in the corner of the balcony where there is maximum sunlight.
2. Shami plant – both medicine and worship
Shami leaves are also offered to Bholenath, but its specialty is that this plant is full of medicinal properties. If you bring it home before Sawan, it is believed that it transmits positive energy.

Point to be kept in mind: This is a plant of a desert area; hence, do not keep it in the shade at all. Choose a spot on the balcony or terrace that gets full sunlight – it will bloom and thrive easily.
3. Belpatra – Bhole’s most beloved thing
Worship of Shiva is considered incomplete without Belpatra. It is said that Belpatra has three leaves, which symbolize the three eyes of Lord Shiva. It is very useful not only in worship but also in Ayurveda.
You can easily grow it in an empty space outside the house or in a large grow bag on the balcony. Just make sure the plant gets enough space, as the vine tree grows slowly.

4. Kaner plant – symbol of peace and positivity
Yellow and white Kaner flowers are especially offered in Shiva worship. It is believed that offering Kaner brings peace to the mind and removes negative energy. This plant is also very beautiful in appearance.

Kaner loves sunlight, so keep it on a terrace or open balcony where there is plenty of light. But one important thing – do not touch the milky juice of the Kaner plant, because it is slightly poisonous. Keep away from children and pets.
5. Tulsi – No, Tulsi is not offered to Shiva, so why mention it?
Many people are confused, but let us clarify – Tulsi leaves are not offered to Lord Shiva. Actually, Tulsi is considered to be the form of Goddess Lakshmi, and Belpatra is the main thing in Shiva worship. Therefore, if someone says to offer Tulsi to Shiva, then it is wrong. Bhole loves the leaves of Belpatra, Champa, Kaner, Dhatura and Shami the most.
