Who was Jaspal Rana?

Veteran shooter Jaspal Rana was born on 28 June 1976 in a Garhwali family in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. His father Narayan Singh Rana was in the police. He was interested in shooting and was Jaspal’s first coach. Jaspal Rana had proved at a very young age that he would become one of the great shooters of the country. At the age of just 12, he made his debut in the 31st National Shooting Championship in Ahmedabad and surprised everyone by winning a silver medal in the very first match.
