Indian actor Vicky Kaushal’s first look from Love & War had drawn attention online after the poster of his character was released. The actor had appeared in a rugged look, with a cigarette in one hand and a lighter in the other.
The poster had featured Vicky with curly hair, a moustache and a visible mark on his forehead. His serious expression and retro-style appearance had offered a glimpse of his character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film.
Vicky had shared the poster on Instagram along with the caption, “Nazre milengi, lekin hatengi nahin!”
The release had followed the first looks of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who also starred in the film. Love & War marked Vicky’s first collaboration with Bhansali.
The poster had quickly led to reactions from social media users. One person had written, “Vicky, you’re owning this character,” while another had commented, “This is the best poster. There’s so much mystery in his eyes.”
Another user had called the poster “stunning”, while a separate comment had read, “They definitely kept the best for last.”
The film had also been in the news for Vicky’s physical preparation for his role. Reports had stated that the actor had undergone a weight transformation for the project.
