Hanoi climbed two places and Ho Chi Minh City rose one place from the same period last year.

Da Nang entered the top 10 most revisited cities in the region.

According to Agoda, Da Nang’s strong performance is driven by its well-developed transportation, convenient connectivity with Hoi An, a UNESCO world heritage town, and its range of services and amusement options.

Vietnam has been drawing foreign tourists back for repeat visits with its relaxed visa rules, improved infrastructure, and low costs, industry insiders said.

The country targets 45-50 million arrivals by 2030 to become a leading destination in Southeast Asia in terms of both scale and growth.

It received 12.2 million visitors in the first seven months of this year, up 23% year-on-year but well below Thailand’s 19.2 million.
