President To Lam’s historic visit; Defense and strategic cooperation will be in focus, important meeting will be held with PM Modi today

Vietnam President India Visit: Vietnamese President To Lam is on his three-day visit to India. This visit of the President will be from 5-7 May. The tour started from Bodhgaya in Bihar. After this we will go to Delhi. According to information received from the Ministry of External Affairs, the President reached Gaya International Airport at 11:10 am on May 5. President Lam offered prayers at the Mahabodhi Temple here and then meditated under the sacred Bodhi tree.

The visit of the President of Vietnam to India is considered important in the direction of strategic and defense cooperation between the two countries. According to the information received, President Lam will have a special discussion on increasing defense cooperation between the two countries.

Visited Mahabodhi Temple

Vietnamese President To Lam was welcomed by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary along with other senior officials. As soon as he reached Gaya Ji airport, he first visited the UNESCO World Heritage Mahabodhi Temple. After that visited Vietnamese monastery. State Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that this historic visit of President Lam will further strengthen the relations between the two countries.

After this the President left for Delhi. President Lam will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Wednesday. He will also meet the President of India Draupadi Murmu. This is Lam’s first visit to India after becoming President.

Will go to Rajghat today

President Lam will be formally welcomed at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 6th May i.e. today at 9 am. After this he will go to Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. After this, he has an important meeting with Prime Minister Modi at Hyderabad House at around 11:30 am. MoUs will be exchanged based on the agreements reached in the meeting. After this, information will be shared in a joint press conference.

Discussion on Brahmos purchase

According to the information received, during President Lam’s visit to India, there can be a special discussion on increasing defense cooperation between the two countries. This also includes the issue of possible purchase of India’s supersonic cruise missile BrahMos. The estimated value of this deal could be around Rs 60 billion. This also includes training and logistics support.

Let us tell you that before this India has sold its supersonic cruise missile BrahMos to Philippines. Also, an agreement has been signed with Indonesia for the purchase of Brahmos. The possible agreement with Vietnam in the defense sector will further strengthen India’s defense export policy. This will give a boost to India’s defense sector. After Operation Sindoor, the demand for Indian weapons in the world has increased rapidly.
