Oceanman is an international open water swimming series held across Europe, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific. The Maldives edition in 2026 drew 532 swimmers from 40 countries and territories.

Vien, 30, remains the most successful swimmer in Vietnamese history, with 25 SEA Games gold medals, along with medals at the Asian Championships, Asian Games, Youth Olympics, World Military Games and World Cup.

After the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she retired from the national team and has since focused on coaching young swimmers while taking part in endurance and multi-sport events. She previously competed in DNSE Aquaman Vietnam 2024 and recently joined the 5km race at the Read Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight 2026.
