What ingredients are required to make coconut rice?
Not many ingredients are required to make delicious coconut rice at home. The correct ratio of coconut and sugar plays an important role in determining the taste and texture of this sweet.
Ingredients:
Medium sized coconut – 2-3 ton
Sugar – approximately 250–300 grams per coconut
Small aloe vera seeds – as desired
Ghee – small amount
Jaggery – can be used as a substitute for sugar
The quantity of sugar can be increased or decreased as per the sweet taste. If you want to make jaggery with jaggery, adjust the quantity by considering its sweetness and moisture level.
Step 1: Cook the coconut thoroughly
The first condition to smooth the coconut is to grate the coconut properly. The more the white part of the coconut is mashed, the more beautiful the structure of the coconut can be. After this, take a big pan and mix the coconut coconut and sugar together. Keep the flame on low and keep stirring, so that the sugar slowly gets mixed with the coconut. Do not increase the heat by stirring at this stage. Coconut may get mixed in it and the taste of coconut may get spoiled.
Step 2: How long will it take to cook?
Keep stirring the coconut and sugar mixture continuously. Slowly add the sugar and the mixture will become sticky. The time it takes for the cooking to be complete will depend on the moisture content of the coconut, the amount of sugar and the heat. Therefore, do not just look at the time, take a decision by understanding the structure of the mixture. When the mixture starts clumping together and starts coming out easily from the pan, then see if it is time to turn off the flame. If the rice gets overdried, it may become hard. If you add too much mixture then there will be problem in making rounds.
Step 3: Cook the rice while it is still lukewarm.
Once the cake is ready, let the mixture cool down a bit. When the mixture is warm enough to hold with your hands, take small portions of the mixture and make round balls. Do not handle it when it is very hot, there is a risk of it getting stuck. Rub a little ghee on your hands and the mixture will stick less to your hands and it will be easier to make balls. Once all the noodles are ready, arrange them on a plate and let them cool completely.

Therefore, when the mixture starts to become sticky and clump together, check its consistency. Keep an eye on the consistency of the jaggery: The cooking time may vary depending on the type and moisture content of the jaggery.
