Chennai. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay launched a scathing political attack on the DMK and AIADMK while addressing an election rally in Dharapuram. At a meeting organized for the Dharapuram by-election to be held on October 6, he alleged an alleged internal understanding between the two parties and appealed to the people not to vote for both the parties.
Said- TVK considers all religions equal
Vijay mentioned Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Christmas and Bakrid in his speech. He said that TVK considers all religions equal and will wish people on the occasion of different religious festivals. Linking his party's ideology to secular social justice, he said that his party is not against anyone's religious beliefs.
DMK accused of destabilizing the government
Vijay alleged that the DMK was trying to destabilize the TVK government. He said that despite saying that they accept the public's decision, opposition parties are taking steps to stop TVK's efforts to form the government. However, these are political allegations made by Vijay.
AIADMK also targeted
Vijay attacked AIADMK with its founder MG Ramachandran and former Chief Minister J. Accused of allegedly betraying Jayalalitha's political legacy. He claimed that DMK and AIADMK appear different, but there is an internal understanding between the two. How both the parties reacted to these allegations is a different matter.
Clarification given on Satyabhama's arrival in TVK
Vijay also gave clarification on the questions raised regarding TVK candidate P. Satyabhama joining the party in Dharapuram by-election. He said that Satyabhama had resigned from the post of AIADMK MLA before joining TVK. Earlier in the meeting, Satyabhama had become emotional, during which Vijay consoled her by placing his hand on her shoulder.
Vijay blew the whistle in the middle of the meeting
Vijay was also seen suddenly whistling during the meeting. Actually, whistle is the election symbol of TVK. Before the meeting, supporters welcomed him and showered flower petals at many places during his convoy's passage from Coimbatore to Dharapuram. According to police, around 3,000 soldiers were deployed to secure the event.
In this meeting in Dharapuram, Vijay also mentioned the work and welfare schemes of his government. The program took place amid the by-election campaign, so along with the functioning of the government, political attacks on the opposition parties were also prominent in his speech.
