Actually, WFI has stated the eligibility criteria for the trials of Asian Games 2026, in which Vinesh Phogat does not fit. According to the WFI circular, only those players will be able to participate in the Asian Games this year, who have won medals by participating in the National Wrestling Championship last year and the Federation Cup in 2026. According to the Wrestling Federation, the Asian Games trials for women will be held in New Delhi on May 30, while for men, the trials for freestyle and Greco-Roman categories will be held in Lucknow a day later.

Vinesh Phogat will not be able to play Asian Games

Due to this, she could not participate in the National Wrestling Championship and the Federation Cup in 2026.
