Kohli’s record breaking batting
Virat Kohli completed his 500 runs in the Indian Premier League for the first time in the year 2011. Then he had scored 557 runs. After this, 634 runs in 2013, 505 runs in 2015. Who can forget Virat Kohli’s 2016 IPL season? He scored 973 runs in a historic season with the bat on fire. Which also included four centuries. He repeated this feat in 2018 and then scored more than 500 runs in two consecutive seasons in 2023 (639 runs) and 2024 (741 runs).
This year also he has taken this record forward. KL Rahul (six times) and Shikhar Dhawan (five times) are next in this list, but Kohli’s unmatched consistency and hunger to score runs makes him different from everyone else.
