RCB won two consecutive titles in the presence of Virat
Actually, the last two years have been very special for both Virat and RCB. In 2025, RCB ended the wait of 18 years by winning the IPL title for the first time. After this, in 2026 the team created history by winning the second consecutive title. RCB now becomes the third team after Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings to win two consecutive IPL trophies.

Virat also played an important role in both these successes. In IPL 2026, he was once again the most successful batsman of RCB. He scored 675 runs and batted at a strike rate of 165.84. This was also the best strike rate in a season in his IPL career.

Kohli played a big innings in the final match also. He made an important contribution in helping the team win its second consecutive trophy by scoring an unbeaten 75 runs.

The next IPL will be the last season of the current cycle. In such a situation, if Virat decides to play, RCB will retain him, hardly anyone has any doubt about it. For now, the statement of RCB CEO has put an end to the speculations about Kohli’s early retirement.
