New Delhi: This year, there is confusion in the minds of many people regarding the date of Vishwakarma Puja whether it will be celebrated on 17th September or 18th September. To know the exact date, it is important to understand the time of Kanya Sankranti. Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated on the day Sun God enters Virgo. On this occasion, Lord Vishwakarma is worshiped with rituals and shops, machines, tools and vehicles are also worshipped. This time two auspicious yogas are also being formed which make the puja more fruitful.

Correct date and auspicious time

According to the Vedic calendar, Sun God will enter Virgo on September 17 at 7:58 am. Therefore, Kanya Sankranti is on 17th September and Vishwakarma Puja will also be celebrated on Thursday, 17th September. There is no need for 18th September. This festival falls on the sixth day of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. The main auspicious time of puja starts from 7:58 am because that is the moment of Kanya Sankranti.

The puja can also be performed between 10:43 am to 1:48 pm. In this, Chara-Samaan Muhurta will be from 10:43 to 12:15 and Labh-Unnati Muhurta will be from 12:15 to 1:48. The auspicious time is from 4:52 to 6:24 in the evening. The auspicious time of Kanya Sankranti will last from 7:58 am to 2:31 pm. Brahma Muhurta is from 4:33 to 5:20 and Abhijeet Muhurta is from 11:51 to 12:40. Rahukaal will be from 1:48 to 3:20 pm, hence do not do any auspicious work at this time.

Importance of Vishwakarma Puja

This year, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga and Ravi Yoga are also being formed simultaneously from 6:07 am to 7:53 pm. Both these yogas are considered very fruitful. There will be Vishkambh Yoga in the morning which will continue till 12:50 pm, after which Preeti Yoga will continue till night. There will be Anuradha Nakshatra till 7:53 pm and then Jyestha Nakshatra. Lord Vishwakarma is the architect of the gods and the mental son of Lord Brahma. He had built golden cities like Lanka, Dwarka, Indraprastha and Pushpak Vimana and Dev Astras. His worship increases business, happiness, prosperity and peace.
