Technology Desk: Vivo is going to launch its new flagship X500 series in China soon. This series may include Vivo X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max models. The company has confirmed the launch date of the series.
Vivo X500 series will be launched in China on September 21, 2026. After this it is expected to be launched in India in October or early November. However, information about price and availability in India has not been revealed yet.
The phone can be equipped with 2nm chipset
MediaTek's new Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset can be found in Vivo X500 series. It will be among the first smartphones to come with this processor. MediaTek will launch this new pro-grade chipset on September 15. According to reports, this will be the company's first chipset manufactured on 2nm process. This is expected to improve the speed and power efficiency of the phone.
The series will come with a larger camera module
According to the teaser, the Vivo X500 series can be given a large round rear camera module like the old X-series model. The company is offering this series especially as an upgrade for photography and content creators. The reports also mention the new Blueprint 900 image sensor. CIPA 7.0 standard optical image stabilization is expected in the primary and periscope telephoto cameras.
Photography will be better with AI
Upgraded AI photography assistant can also be provided in Vivo X500 series. It can help you understand the scene, suggest camera settings, and improve photo quality when taking photos with the camera. However, the company has not yet shared information about all the functions of this AI feature.
Vivo X500 can get three 50MP cameras
Standard Vivo X500 can get 50MP Sony LYTIA-828 primary camera. It is said to have a 1/1.28-inch sensor. Apart from this, Sony LYTIA-610 telephoto camera and 50MP ultra-wide camera can be found in the phone. CIPA 7.0 stabilization support is also expected in the standard model.
200MP camera in X500 Pro Max
The most premium model of the series could be Vivo X500 Pro Max. According to reports, it can be provided with a 200MP telephoto camera. The phone is expected to have a 6.83 inch BOE Q11 2K display. Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset can be given as processor. For better performance, better thermal management and image processing system can also be found in the phone.
When will it be launched in India?
Vivo X500 series will be launched in China on 21 September 2026. After this, its entry in India is expected to happen in October or early November. An official announcement from the company regarding the price and launch date in India is awaited.
