Technology Desk: Vivo has launched a new smartphone Vivo Y600i in its Y-series. The company has currently launched it in the Chinese market. The biggest feature of the phone is its huge 8,000mAh battery. Apart from this, it has features like 120Hz display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, 50MP camera and IP68/IP69 rating. That means, this phone has been specially designed for users who like big battery and strong build.
Specifications of Vivo Y600i 5G
Vivo Y600i has a 6.87 inch LCD display, which supports 1592 × 720 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen's peak brightness in HBM mode is up to 1,300 nits. It also has TUV Rhineland certification with DC dimming, which helps in low blue-light protection.
For performance, Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor has been installed in the phone. It is paired with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The special thing is that the storage can be expanded up to 2TB through microSD card. The Memory Fusion feature gives the option to virtually expand the RAM up to 12GB.
Android 16 and AI anti-fraud feature
In terms of software, Vivo Y600i runs on OriginOS 6 based Android 16. The phone also has AI-powered anti-fraud protection, which helps in identifying potential scam calls.
8,000mAh battery will be the biggest attraction
The most special thing about Vivo Y600i is its 8,000mAh battery. The phone supports 44W wired fast charging and wired reverse charging.
According to the company's lab tests, the battery can maintain at least 80 percent capacity even after 1,500 charging cycles. Vivo claims that on a full charge, the phone can deliver up to 25 hours of short video playback and 16 hours of continuous navigation. However, actual battery backup will depend on usage patterns and other circumstances.
50MP camera and 8MP selfie camera
For photography, a 50MP primary camera is provided in the rear of the phone. It has f/1.8 aperture and autofocus support. The phone has an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calling.
Protection from water, dust and falls
Vivo Y600i has also been made special in terms of strength. The phone has received IP68 and IP69 ratings, while SGS five-star drop-resistance certification has also been given. Apart from this, features like side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-SIM 5G, USB Type-C port and IR blaster are available in the phone.
Vivo Y600i price and sale
Vivo Y600i has been launched in China in a single variant with 6GB RAM + 256GB storage. Its price has been kept at 1,999 Yuan, which is approximately Rs 28,573 in Indian currency.
The sale of the phone in China will start from September 30. It can be purchased in Stardust, Sky Blue and Midnight Black color options.
At present, Vivo has not given any official information regarding the global or Indian launch of Y600i. In such a situation, we will have to wait for its price and availability in India. This phone has emerged as an interesting new model of the Y-series in China due to its large battery, 120Hz display and sturdy build.
