Vivo Y6a launch: Vivo Y6a was launched in China on Friday. This comes before the company’s more expensive foldable phone Vivo X Fold 6. This new phone of Vivo Y series has a single rear camera and LED flash which are housed in a square shaped camera module. It also has a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. Vivo Y6a has an octa-core Snapdragon 4 series chipset and Adreno 613 GPU. This smartphone is currently available for sale in three colors in the country. It has a 7,200mAh battery and supports 44W wired fast charging.

The sole configuration of Vivo Y6a (8GB RAM and 256GB storage) is priced at CNY 1,999 (approximately ₹28,000) in China. This new phone of Y-series is currently available for purchase on Vivo’s online store in China. Vivo Y6a is a dual-SIM handset that runs on Vivo’s latest Android 16 based OriginOS 6. It has a 6.75-inch HD+ (720×1,570 pixels) LCD touchscreen, which supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits, a pixel density of 256 ppi, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 83% NTSC color gamut, and 16.7 million colors. The company claims that this phone comes with IP68 and IP69 rating for protection against dust and water.

The new Vivo Y6a runs on Qualcomm’s 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. It has six efficiency cores (clocked at 1.95GHz) and two performance cores giving a peak clock speed of 2.2GHz. The smartphone also has Adreno 613 GPU, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock feature.

Talking about the camera, Vivo Y6a has a single rear camera setup which has a 50-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture, autofocus and digital zoom up to 10x. Apart from this, the phone has an 8 megapixel front camera with f/2.05 aperture and digital zoom up to 2x. The handset is capable of recording videos up to 1080p resolution.
