Technology Desk: Vivo has launched its new flagship foldable smartphone Vivo X Fold6 in the global market. The company has specially designed this device keeping mobile professionals in mind. The phone has a large foldable AMOLED display, 6900mAh battery, 200MP camera and ZEISS imaging along with many AI-based productivity features. However, the company has not yet disclosed its global price and date of availability in different markets including India.
Specifications of Vivo
Vivo X Fold6 has an 8.02 inch 2K+ AMOLED LTPO inner display. At the same time, the cover screen is 6.51 inch FHD+ AMOLED LTPO. Both displays support adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz and peak brightness of up to 5000 nits.
For performance, the phone has been provided with MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition processor. It is offered with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device also has IP58, IP59, IPX8 and IPX9 ratings, providing different levels of protection against water and dust.
AI features will increase productivity
Talking about software, Vivo X Fold6 has OriginOS 7, which is based on Android 17. It has features like Multi-Task Workbench with Origin Smooth Engine.
In addition to the main window, four additional windows can be used in Origin Workbench. At the same time, through Multi-Split Screen, the facility to use four windows simultaneously is available.
The phone's AI Cross-App Drag feature allows users to directly drag content from one app to another. Apart from this, AI Meeting Assistant can prepare transcription and summary of the meeting. AI Captions provides real-time subtitles, while AI File Manager helps automatically name files and organize them into categories.
Vivo X Fold6 has 200MP camera
For photography, Vivo X Fold6 has a triple rear camera setup. Its main camera is a 200MP Samsung HPB sensor, which comes with OIS and ZEISS T* coating.
It is provided with a 50MP ultra-wide camera and 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera. Sony LYT602 sensor and ZEISS optics have been used in the telephoto camera. According to the company, support for 100x ZEISS HyperZoom is also available in the phone.
6900mAh battery and 80W fast charging
Vivo X Fold6 has a 6900mAh BlueVolt battery. The company has used semi-solid-state battery technology with 5th Gen silicon anode technology in it.
Vivo says that the phone has been designed to maintain discharge efficiency in temperatures up to -20 degrees Celsius.
For charging, the device has 80W wired and 40W wireless FlashCharge support. Apart from this, the option of wireless reverse charging is also provided.
