But this time Donald Trump has found a sure and dangerous solution to this arbitrariness and stubbornness of Iran. He has prepared such a perfect masterplan to terrorize Tehran, which is no less than taking out Iran’s ‘eyes’. This strict warning from the US President has made it clear that if Iran commits any misdeed on the way to Hormuz this time, the citizens there may have to suffer heavy consequences.
Donald Trump’s direct threat: Will blow up all power plants of Iran
Donald Trump, while sharing a post on the social media platform ‘Truth Social’, has given the most dangerous and scary warning to Iran so far. Trump warned in clear words that if the Islamic Republic of Iran attacks any ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz with a missile, rocket, drone or any other weapon, then the US military will completely blind Tehran’s maritime surveillance and intelligence system i.e. the ‘eye of the IRGC’. Along with this, Trump also warned that the US Army will not back down from destroying the bridges and power plants connecting many big cities of Iran, even if those bases are built directly inside the capital Tehran.
What does it mean to blow up a country’s power plants and infrastructure?
Destroying the power plant of any country simply means crippling its entire energy infrastructure, which immediately creates a huge humanitarian and economic crisis in that country. As soon as power plants are destroyed, electricity to homes goes off, life-support machines in hospitals stop, internet and communication systems come to a standstill, water supply stops and defense radar systems also stop working altogether. In the language of war strategy, this is called ‘breaking the backbone’ of the enemy country. However, according to the rules of international law, places like power plants, water supplies, hospitals and bridges are mainly considered civilian properties. Directly attacking any civilian property is completely illegal and falls under the category of war crime. It is a clear rule of the Geneva Convention that war should always be fought between two enemy armies and the general public should never be targeted.
‘Larak Island’ becomes the new center of this fierce war between Iran and America
Amidst this open threat from Trump, the US Army has made its attacks on Iran’s military bases more aggressive. For the 11th consecutive night, American fighter planes and deadly missiles have carried out rapid airstrikes on many very sensitive targets in Iran. According to Iranian news agency ‘Tasnim’, America has launched a direct missile attack on the strategically important ‘Larak Island’ located at the mouth of the Strait of Hormuz. If Iranian media reports are to be believed, this horrific attack took place at around 2:48 pm on ‘Larak Island’, where Iran’s main radar and naval surveillance center was installed. Local officials are currently trying to get an accurate estimate of the extent of loss to life or property caused by this attack. On the other hand, the US Central Command has completely justified this military action and said that this airstrike has been done only so that Iran’s military power to attack international ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz can be destroyed forever.
Explosions echoed from Tehran to Bushehr, air defense system roared in the sky.
This sudden and rapid attack by American missiles has created an atmosphere of panic and fear throughout Iran. According to the government media, to foil the American attacks in the air, the air defense system installed in the capital Tehran had to be activated immediately, after which loud explosions and scary sounds of sirens started echoing one after the other in the entire city. Apart from Tehran, several massive explosions were also heard in Tabriz located in the north-west of Iran, the major port cities of Chabahar and Konark in the south-east, and the city of Bushehr. The area of Bushehr is considered the most sensitive because Iran’s only operational nuclear power plant is located here. Although Tehran had already given a strong warning to America not to take any military action around the nuclear sites, but the way America is continuously increasing its attacks around Bushehr and Natanz, the threat of nuclear devastation in the entire region has deepened.
Danger of attack looms on Iran’s most secure nuclear base
Former US President Donald Trump has recently clearly indicated that the US Army may very soon make Iran’s most secure and underground nuclear base located at Natanz its next target.
