Tezzbuzz Desk- There are still a few months left for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, but political rhetoric has intensified. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav had claimed about seat sharing in the BJP-led NDA, to which NDA allies and BJP leaders have reacted sharply. He advised Akhilesh Yadav to worry about his alliance and termed his claims as political speculation.
Akhilesh Yadav had claimed on social media platform X on Tuesday that BJP is working on a plan to distribute seats among its allies in the upcoming assembly elections. According to him, it is being considered to give 73 seats to RLD, 39 seats to Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, 31 seats to Nishad Party and 19 seats to Apna Dal. There are total 403 seats in Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
Akhilesh claimed that even if such seat sharing happens, it will be much less than the demand of PDA i.e. representation in proportion to the population of backward, Dalit and minority classes. He also targeted the government on issues like unemployment, inflation, corruption, education, health, electricity, roads and recruitment.
RLD said- Akhilesh should worry about himself.
RLD State President (Business) Rohit Aggarwal hit back at Akhilesh's claim. He said that Akhilesh Yadav should worry about his alliance, his allies will themselves worry about NDA. He alleged that with the elections approaching, Akhilesh's language reflected his fear.
BJP spokesperson Manish Shukla also took a dig at Akhilesh and said that SP is busy making a strategy to avoid the responsibility of possible defeat in the elections. He claimed that SP is preparing for seat sharing with Congress and there may be a plan to give a large number of seats to Congress.
Apna Dal also targeted
NDA's ally Apna Dal also reacted to Akhilesh's statement. Party leader and minister Ashish Patel said that his party does not just do politics of tweets and re-tweets, but believes in working among the people on the ground. He claimed that NDA will again form a government with full majority in Uttar Pradesh.
BJP accused of breaking allies
BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi alleged that Akhilesh Yadav is trying to put pressure on NDA's allies. He said that instead of paying attention to the internal situation of his alliance, Akhilesh is spreading rumors about BJP's allies. Rakesh Tripathi also asked Akhilesh to pay attention to the meeting of Shivpal Yadav and Azam Khan and claimed that SP should worry about its own alliance and organization.
At present, there has been no official announcement regarding seat sharing, but after Akhilesh's claim, the rhetoric regarding alliance and seat sharing has intensified in UP politics. This issue may become an important part of the election strategy in the coming days.
