Weather Alert: Heavy rain alert in 23 states today

According to the weather forecast, bad weather is expected in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Kerala, Punjab, Jharkhand, Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh.

During this period, winds are expected to blow at a speed of 20 to 30 kilometers per hour. People can get relief from slight coolness in the morning and evening.

Fear of thunderstorm and rain in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar

Strong winds along with rain may occur in many areas of Uttar Pradesh including Kanpur, Agra, Meerut, Mirzapur, Ghaziabad, Saharanpur, Rae Bareli and Gorakhpur. In some areas, the wind speed is expected to reach 70 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Lucknow is expected to be around 31 degrees and minimum 22 degrees Celsius.

There is a possibility of rain and thunderstorm in many districts of Bihar including Gopalganj, Siwan, Bhojpur, Buxar, Aurangabad, Saran, Vaishali, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, Purnia, Katihar and Kishanganj. During this period, winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Patna is expected to be around 29 degrees and minimum 22 degrees Celsius.

How will the weather be in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh?

Light to moderate rain may occur in Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer and Bharatpur of Rajasthan. Winds are expected to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in some areas. The maximum temperature in Jaipur can be 34 degrees and minimum 22 degrees Celsius.

There is a possibility of rain and strong winds in Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Balaghat, Gwalior and Raisen of Madhya Pradesh. In some areas the wind speed can reach 70 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Bhopal is expected to be around 32 degrees and minimum 20 degrees Celsius.

Rain alert with strong winds in Himachal Pradesh

There is a possibility of rain and strong winds in Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan and Una of Himachal Pradesh. In some areas the wind speed can be 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. The temperature in Manali is expected to be very low, so those traveling in hilly areas should take special caution.
