Weather Alert: Weather will worsen again in Bihar, UP and Delhi! IMD issued alert of heavy rain

Monsoon has once again become fully active in many parts of the country. According to the latest bulletin of India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rains are expected to continue in many states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttarakhand around August 22.

The Meteorological Department, in its update released on August 21, has warned that there may be widespread rain in Bihar from August 22 to 24, while in Uttarakhand, rain will continue from August 21 to 27. There will be cloud cover in the eastern areas of Uttar Pradesh from 22 to 25 August and continuous rain can be recorded. In the hilly states, problems may increase due to landslides and sudden rise in the water level of rivers due to torrential rains.

Forecast of torrential rain with thunder and lightning in Bihar

In Bihar, there is a possibility of strong lightning and thunder along with rain in many areas of the state on August 22. According to IMD, the state will see widespread moderate to heavy rains during August 22 to 24. After this, showers and light rain may continue at some places around August 25.

In many districts of the state including Patna, this monsoon change will provide relief to the people from the humid heat, but due to heavy rains, there may be serious problems of waterlogging in low-lying areas and traffic jams on the roads.

Alert issued in UP, Jharkhand and Odisha also

There is a strong possibility of light to heavy rain at many places in the eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh from 22 to 25 August. Recently, a warning of heavy rain was issued in Western UP, due to which the weather of the entire state remains pleasant. However, the Meteorological Department has warned that people should avoid standing in open fields or under trees during heavy rains, thunderstorms and winds.

There is a possibility of intermittent rain in many areas in Jharkhand between August 22 and 27. At the same time, rains will continue in Odisha from 21st to 27th August. IMD has issued a special alert saying that there may be very heavy rain at some places in Odisha on August 23.

Danger of landslide in the mountains, clouds will rain in Delhi-NCR also

There will be heavy rain at most places in Uttarakhand from 21st to 27th August. Apart from this, heavy rain is expected in Himachal Pradesh on 21st and 22nd August. Jammu and Kashmir and surrounding hilly areas may also receive rain from August 21 to 23. Due to heavy rains in the mountains, there is a risk of debris on the roads, landslides and overflowing mountain rivers, so people have been advised to avoid traveling in bad weather.

Talking about the plains, there may be heavy rain in many parts of Delhi, Haryana and Punjab on August 22. According to IMD, due to rain in Delhi-NCR, there is a possibility of water logging at many places and slowing down of vehicles.

Farmers should keep an eye on the weather in MP and Chhattisgarh

Monsoon is completely kind in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh also. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain will continue in many areas and heavy rain at some places from August 21 to 27 in Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh. It has been advised to be cautious during lightning and strong winds. There is an appeal to the farmer brothers and people working in the open to keep a constant eye on the latest weather updates.
