Due to low pressure area and other weather system formed over South-West India, the weather is going to take a turn again in most of the states of the country. The Indian Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rainfall in 20 states of the country for the next few days. Following the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the system is on alert mode due to which the wind speed is likely to reach up to 80 km per hour in some states.
Rainfall with strong winds, thunder and lightning will continue in the states of North and Central India from September 17 to 22. Heavy rain is expected in states including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Haridwar, Nainital and Rishikesh in Uttarakhand have been warned of gusty winds of up to 80 kmph. While in West and East Uttar Pradesh also alert has been issued on different dates.
The weather pattern has also changed in the states of East-West-South India. West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Andaman-Nicobar and northeastern states are likely to receive heavy rainfall. In West India, Konkan, Goa, Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch may also receive good rain with thundershowers. Widespread rain and gusty winds are expected over Kerala, Karthik, Tamil Nadu and Telangana in South Peninsular India from September 17 to 22.
