Amidst the scorching and scorching heat in many states of the country, sudden strong thunderstorms and heavy rains have given a lot of relief to the people from the scorching sun. But if you are thinking that the weather is now completely pleasant, then wait! The Meteorological Department (IMD) has once again issued a major alert of strong storm and heavy rain in 19 states of the country.
According to meteorologists, destructive and strong winds can blow at a speed of 60 to 80 kilometers per hour in these identified areas. Along with this, the possibility of heavy rain and landslides has also been expressed in the hilly states. In such a situation, if you are planning to go out or travel somewhere in the next few days, then before leaving home, definitely know the latest weather condition of your area.
After all, why is the country’s weather taking a sudden turn?
The Meteorological Department has also revealed the real scientific reason behind this. According to IMD, at present a strong cyclonic circulation is active in the lower atmosphere over central Pakistan and north-west Rajasthan. Not only this, along with this, another cyclone is also forming rapidly in North-West Uttar Pradesh and its surrounding plains. Due to this dual system, such a huge and sudden change is being seen in the weather of the country. The Meteorological Department has warned that there may be heavy to very heavy rain in Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu for the next 7 days. Especially in Kerala, record breaking rainfall is expected at some places on June 6 and 7, while in the North-Eastern states too, torrential rains will continue for the next one week.
Monsoon has reached Goa-Karnataka, now it is the turn of these states
Another big news of relief is that the south-west monsoon has gained its pace. This monsoon has advanced further on June 5 itself, covering many parts of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Goa. The Meteorological Department estimates that within the next 2 to 3 days, monsoon will hit Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and other remaining parts of Northeast India. Due to its impact, there is a possibility of heavy rains and lightning on different days in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
Badra will rain in Delhi-UP today, but heat will haunt again in future
There is a possibility of good rain with thunder and lightning in the country’s capital Delhi today on June 6, due to which today’s temperature may come down to around 36 degrees Celsius. However, this relief will not last long for Delhiites. From June 7, the weather will start clearing again in Delhi and the heat will increase again with scorching sunlight. By June 9 and 10, the mercury in Delhi may once again reach 41 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, in Uttar Pradesh too today, on June 6, there are chances of light to moderate rain in many districts. But there has also been a warning of severe heat wave in some areas in UP between June 9 and 11. Soon after this, cloud movement and rain may return again in UP around June 10 and 11.
