New Delhi. A new report has emerged amid the ongoing tension between America and Iran. According to the American newspaper New York Times, President Donald Trump has currently stopped major military attacks on Iran. The reason for this is being said to be the warning of senior army officers, which said that due to continuous attacks, the stock of Patriot Missile Interceptor available with America is decreasing rapidly. This may affect the security of American soldiers deployed in West Asia.

Why did the Pentagon express concern?

According to the report, in a high-level meeting held at the White House on Friday, Army officials told President Trump that the stock of Patriot Interceptor missiles is depleting faster than expected.

General Dan Keane, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, advised Trump that America is capable of launching major attacks, but doing so could weaken the security of American forces deployed in West Asia. The report also said that Vice President JD Vance also expressed concern over the decreasing stockpile of weapons.

Gulf countries have appealed to America to exercise restraint and give diplomacy a chance.

Will there be a way out through talks now?

After the meeting, Trump said that America is ready for military action, but the option of talks is also open. White House Spokesperson Steven Cheung also said that the President prefers a diplomatic solution. According to the report, Oman is trying to mediate between the two countries so that tension can be reduced and safe movement of ships can resume in the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, after 13 consecutive days of military action, there was no new attack on Iran by America on Saturday.
