Information has come to light that Ravi has dismissed the West Bengal Cabinet. These developments have created a major constitutional and political embarrassment in the state, and the attention of the entire country is now on the transition of power in West Bengal.

Mamata Banerjee refuses to resign

Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee categorically refused to resign, alleging that the election result was a “conspiracy, not a mandate”. Not only this, the defeat of the Trinamool Congress is not due to public opinion but due to alleged malpractices in the electoral process. There is no question of my resignation. We did not fight against the BJP, but against the Election Commission working for the BJP. He also alleged that the polling process was messed up in around 100 seats in the Banga elections.

Constitutional Decision of the Governor

Meanwhile, as per the constitution, special powers come to the governor after the term of the assembly is over and a new government is not formed. According to constitutional experts, the governor can decide to dissolve the cabinet after the chief minister loses his majority or loses an election. Against this backdrop, reports surfaced that the Governor had dismissed the West Bengal Cabinet. Therefore, it is being said that Mamata Banerjee’s tenure as Chief Minister has officially come to an end.

Determined to strengthen the opposition front

After the defeat, Mamata Banerjee announced that she would work to strengthen the opposition alliance at the national level. He said that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have reached out to him and expressed their support. “I will now fight as a common citizen. I will take to the streets and protest against injustice,” she said.

Meanwhile, the possibility of forming the first BJP government in West Bengal is being expressed. The Bharatiya Janata Party Legislature party meeting will be held soon and the leader will be selected for the post of Chief Minister. The oath taking ceremony is likely to be held on May 9 at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata and it has been reported that a large security arrangement will be made for it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior BJP leaders are expected to attend.
