West Bengal Governor dissolved the Assembly, Mamata Banerjee refused to resign

New Delhi. After the results of West Bengal elections, there is a lot of political turmoil there. TMC chief Mamata Banerjee had refused to resign after the election results. She had said that she is not defeated. Now the Governor there has dismissed the current assembly. According to the Constitution, the tenure of the Assembly is 5 years and the current Assembly was in existence from 8 May 2021 to 7 May 2026. On the other hand, preparations have started from BJP to form the government. Home Minister Amit Shah is about to reach West Bengal, after which the blueprint for government formation will be clear.
