WhatsApp New Feature: WhatsApp is constantly working on new features to improve the experience of its Android users. In this same series, the company is bringing another useful feature. With the help of this feature, the navigation bar at the bottom of the app will automatically shrink and enlarge while scrolling.
That is, as the user scrolls down the chat list, the navigation bar will shrink to a compact floating pill. While scrolling upwards it will return to its original size. The main purpose of this change is to make the interface of the app cleaner and give users more screen space to read chats.
Currently the Android version of WhatsApp has a static navigation bar at the bottom. With its help users can go to different sections like chats, updates and calls. But even when the user scrolls down the chat list, the bar occupies its space on the entire screen.
WhatsApp is preparing to change this design in a new feature. As the user scrolls down the chat list, the navigation bar will shrink to a smaller size. This will give extra space on the screen for viewing chats. When the user scrolls up again the navigation bar will return to its old form.
This change can make the overall experience of using the app even better than before. This will especially be of great benefit to users who have very long chat lists and have to constantly scroll down.
When will this feature be launched?
According to the report, this feature of WhatsApp is currently in the development stage. That means the company is currently working on it. It hasn’t even been made available in beta testing for Android users yet.
In such a situation it is difficult to say when this feature will reach all general users. During testing, the company may also change its design or performance. As of now, WhatsApp has not made any official announcement regarding the launch date of this feature, so users will have to wait a bit for its rollout.
