WhatsApp’s new features: Make group chatting easier

WhatsApp is constantly rolling out new features for its users. To make group chatting more effective, the company has added several new features. WhatsApp says these updates will help better organize conversations within the main group, make quick decisions, and easily disseminate essential information to all members.

New controls in Polls

New controls found in Polls

WhatsApp has made its Polls feature even more useful. Users can now set a time limit for a poll. The poll will close once voting ends at the set time. This feature will prove extremely useful for meetings, events, or deadline-bound decisions.

Additionally, the option to hide the names of participants casting votes in the poll will be available. This means participants will be able to vote without revealing their preferences. If a mistake is made in the question after the poll is posted, the poll creator can edit the question within 15 minutes, eliminating the need to create a new poll.

@all Mention feature in groups

Now the message will reach everyone simultaneously with @all

WhatsApp has added the @all Mention feature to group chats. This allows users to send notifications to all group members simultaneously by simply typing @all. This feature eliminates the need to individually tag each member for important announcements or notifications.

– If a group has more than 32 members, this feature will only be available to group admins. If a user doesn’t want to receive such notifications, they can mute @all notifications by going to the app’s Notification Settings.

Ability to create a new group

Create a new group from an existing group in one click

The company has added a new feature to simplify group management. You can now create a new group with existing group members in just one step, without the need to re-add members.

– According to WhatsApp, this feature is very useful in situations when a particular topic needs to be discussed separately, an event needs to be planned or a separate group needs to be created for a specific activity, so that the conversation in the main group is not affected.
