The problems of the Pakistan government are continuously increasing amidst the fierce protests and rebellion going on in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) for the last several weeks. To hide their failures and atrocities from the eyes of the world, now the Pakistani rulers have imposed strict restrictions on the media. Along with local and regional news portals, the access of the reputed international news channel ‘Al Jazeera English’ has also been blocked in many parts of the country. Apart from this, instructions have been given to close many prominent YouTube channels exposing Imran Khan’s party, main opposition parties and the government, so that the truth does not come out.
Security forces opened fire amid a large crowd of women and children.
The situation in PoK is completely going out of control and even the local police administration is proving incapable of controlling the anger of the protesters. Late on Sunday night, security forces allegedly opened fire on peaceful protesting civilians in the Rawalkot area. According to information received from intelligence sources, this horrific action took place at a time when there was a large presence of women and children at the protest sites. Children and women have been continuously protesting on the streets for the last 50 days and their numbers suddenly increased on Sunday, after which the Pakistani army crossed all limits of brutality.
PoK is boiling over due to exploitation of resources and neglect, 40 deaths so far.
An official source, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that at least 40 people have lost their lives so far in this brutal crackdown by security forces. Intelligence agencies fear that the desperate Pakistani government may now directly target women and children to instill fear in the area. The protesters’ primary allegation is that their region’s natural resources are being exploited recklessly and that the Pakistani government is consistently neglecting them, leading to public anger.
India rejects PoK election sham, suicide attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
On the other hand, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is claiming a majority in the second phase of the assembly elections held in PoK, which India has completely rejected. Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has made it clear that the entire Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral parts of India and this election is just a sham to hide human rights violations. On the other hand, the death toll in the horrific suicide attack targeting a police station during a peace rally in Swat district of Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has risen to 17, including several security personnel.
