Who speaks, keeps killing. That is true in the lives of two workers of Trishuli Hydropower Project in Nepal. A large area of Nepal (Nepal Flash Flood) has been practically wiped out by Harpa Bane. But even after 9 days buried in the mud, those two surprisingly survived. They were rescued alive on Friday. The family of two workers who gave up hope is now happy.
Nepal's Home Minister Sudan Gurung said Kabir Mahajan and Sanjay Shah were rescued on Friday. Both of them were working on Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project. On August 26, Voyongkar was working during Harpa ban. Suddenly he was buried in a pile of mud. He stayed in that state for 9 days. No one could have expected that they could survive. Finally, on Friday, the rescue team reached to remove the body from the rubble. Therein lies the miracle.
45-year-old Kabir Mahajan was working as a supervisor in a hydropower project. Kabir was still conscious when he was rescued. He is currently under treatment at Kathmandu Army Hospital. Kabir's brother Amir says, “My mind is relieved, I am very happy.” But Sanjay, a 30-year-old worker, has no sense. The rescuers carried him out on the shoulder. They are undergoing treatment in Kathmandu hospital. Note that at least 150 people are estimated to have been buried in that area. After rescuing two people, the rescuers hope that many others can also be found alive.
1259 people have lost their lives so far in the devastation of Trishuli and Votkosi rivers. At least 5000 people are missing. So far 6541 people have been rescued alive. The administration still does not have a clear account of how many houses, offices, bridges, shops and markets were destroyed in the terrible disaster. The damage is estimated to be several lakhs of rupees. So far 12 thousand people have been rescued. However, the rescuers could not reach many areas yet. As a result, the number of casualties is likely to increase in the coming days.
