Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray addressed a rally to mark the party’s 20th foundation day. During the rally, he targeted Bollywood actors Vivek Oberoi and R. Madhavan. He asked, “If actors like Vivek Oberoi and R. Madhavan believe India is doing well under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, why are they living in countries like Dubai?”
‘Industrialists are going abroad’
Raj Thackeray launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Modi during his speech at an event organized by the MNS party’s youth wing in Mumbai. He questioned PM Modi as to why prominent figures are choosing to leave the country under his rule.

Raj Thackeray said, “The government has admitted in Parliament that this country’s industrialists are leaving the country. Vivek Oberoi, who played Modi in the biopic, lives in Dubai. R. Madhavan, who talks about how wonderful everything is under Modi and how the country has changed, moves to Dubai with his family. If you think Modi has made everything so wonderful, why are you settling abroad? These people will come here to work in government-sponsored films and then go back to Dubai. Industrialists are going abroad.”

However, Madhavan previously revealed that he had moved his family to Dubai to support his son’s professional swimming career. Vivek Oberoi, meanwhile, has moved to Dubai to expand his business with his real-estate company, BNW Developments.
During his speech, Raj Thackeray also questioned the government’s promise of smart cities. He asked how many children still want to live abroad because of the lack of good roads, farms, gardens, cleanliness, and sports complexes.
